Pembroke School

Renowned for academic excellence and a broad, inclusive program, Pembroke is a co-educational, non-denominational, day and boarding, SACE and IB World School offering outstanding education from Early Learning to Year 12.

In 1974, Girton Girls’ School and King’s College for boys joined forces to establish Pembroke School, creating a legacy of quality, inclusive co-education. Ours is a unique story where two single-sex schools identified the power of co-education for young learners. Thanks to their foresight, we are a school that fosters equality of opportunity within a co-educational setting defined by our learning and caring culture.

At Pembroke, our strength derives from our commitment to serve and harness our talents to build a fairer, more equitable and respectful future for all. Our learning and caring culture embraces difference and diversity of experience and character. At Pembroke, all voices shape our community and there is a place for everyone.

Campuses

Pembroke School is located in leafy Kensington Park, just 3.5 kilometres east of Adelaide’s CBD. Pembroke is comprised of two main campuses: King’s Campus for Middle School and Girton Campus for Junior School and Senior School.

Both campuses feature superb grounds which are maintained to the highest standard and a beautiful blend of historic and contemporary buildings. They are located within five minutes’ walk of each other, connected by Kensington Oval which Pembroke leases and maintains as part of our vibrant Sports Program.

Across the road from King’s Campus, Pembroke owns the Haslam Oval Precinct, a stunning parcel of land earmarked for exciting future development to further elevate our Sports Program and community engagement. Pembroke also has sporting facilities located in the city, on the Torrens River and in the southern Park Lands.
